What does a Talia Trust volunteer do?
All work in the Talia Trust is voluntary. Volunteers have different tasks within the organization.
-
Volunteers may work singly or in pairs, visiting the school usually two or three times a year. They keep the school informed of the committee's expectations and they keep the committee informed of the school's needs, so that projects run smoothly. They also visit the school with the committee once a year.
In high schools, volunteers also help the staff complete application forms for assessments, ask about the progress of individual students and attend graduation ceremonies.
In primary schools, volunteers also visit classes, discuss progress with the teachers.
-
Volunteers are needed throughout the year.
-
In addition, volunteers are needed leading up to and during the annual participation in the Jerusalem Marathon and whenever a fund-raising event is planned.
